Digital transformation and warehousing processes automation are major challenges for the new industrial revolution known as Industry 4.0. Warehouse management is today one of the highest priority logistics challenges and research objects. The main purpose of warehouses automation is stock management. Stocks are extremely important and indispensable for companies engaged in manufacturing and trading activities, as they are directly involved in the production process and have a very important impact on their performance, financial position and customer satisfaction. As information technology develops, more and more logistics processes are moving into the cyberspace. The use of new technologies makes it easier and simpler to apply modern warehousing technologies, to determine the quantity and location of raw materials and products. Thus, companies need automated warehouse management systems that optimize the flow of goods and their costs. However, they require significant investment, and companies planning this type of investment should consider all the alternatives available on the market in order to choose the one that best suits their needs. The object of this thesis - automatic storage system. Purpose is economic evaluation of automated storage system implementation. |
