Abstract [eng] The purpose of this work is to evaluate the possibilities of ultrasonic phased arrays for non-destructive control of defects in GLARE and similar laminates. To carry out the research work, it is necessary to perform the following tasks: review information sources and get acquainted with defects that may occur in composites and NDT methods used in composite material inspection; to model the selected NDT methods with the created GLARE structure; test the theoretical model experimentally and analyze the results obtained. Aircraft parts made of this type of material are increasingly used in aviation. One of the problems with the inspection of internal defects arising during the operation of parts is the choice of suitable mobile equipment. One of the possibilities for inspection is the use of ultrasonic phased arrays. Theoretical possibilities of investigating the GLARE type structure using ultrasonic phased arrays and other transducers were evaluated and compared with each other, and it was determined that the best choice for inspection of defects in thin multilayered structures would be a 10 MHz immersion transducer and a 5 MHz phased array. The examination of the GLARE sample was carried out during the experimental testing and the analysis of the obtained results was performed.
