Abstract [eng] |
Energy security is one of the most important problems, which creates violations in economic, political and environmental areas. The three Prime Ministers of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia signed a joint communication confirming the strategic goal of the Baltic States to become part of the continental European networks in a synchronous zone in 2007. Although from this date has passed over 12 years, none of the states has desynchronized from the Russian electricity system. However, each of the Baltic states seeking to work synchronously with continental European networks must approve that the electricity system satisfies the European Network of Transmission System Operators – electricity requirements. This paper analyzes the experience of foreign countries, which recently joined continental European networks, their electricity systems' compliance with European Network of Transmission System Operators – electricity requirements, and the study of stable work of the Lithuanian electricity system operating in synchronous mode with continental European networks. Stable work research is carried out by indicating the required inertia amount for maintenance of a stable Lithuanian power system, by finding an optimal inertia assurance solution and performing a frequency containment reserve assurance analysis. |
