The development of renewable energy sources is important in order to produce clean energy. Many authors analyze various renewable energy sources: solar, wind, geothermal, wave, tidal energy, hydropower, bioenergy, biomass, biofuels, and others. Renewable energy sources are broadly used in the electricity sector. Hydropower and wind power are widely used in Lithuania, however geothermal energy, which development is limited by high investment costs, is the least used. The objective of the research is to evaluate the company “X” electricity supply possibilities using renewable energy resources. The second part of the research focuses on the methodology for the economic assessment of the implementation of renewable energy sources at the company “X”. In the third part of the research the economic evaluation of the implementation of renewable energy sources was carried out in order to determine what kind of renewable energy source power plant is the most useful to install in company “X”. |
