In this final Master‘s degree analysis of application possibilities of the IEC61850 standard in a distribution network is performed. In the theoretical part, firsly the overview of relay protection and automation and communication protocols used in distribution network is done. Second part of theoretical analysis is overview of IEC61850 standard possibilities – how it can be realised and applied. In the practical part the analysis of GOOSE messaging working principles in real situations, when interaction between two or more relay protection and automation devices is needed, using the practical equipment. Using the relay testing equipment Omicron CMC356, the implemented protection and automation with GOOSE messages is tested and results are compared to usual implementation, when interaction between devices realized with binary outputs and binari inputs. Also using the practical equipment IEC61850 communication protocol is analyzed. |
