Abstract [eng] |
The reproducibility and quality of the cultivated product is crucial for biotechnological companies. These two criteria are implemented through proper management of the fed-batch growth-limited cultivation process. However, currently the most common non-limiting growth cultivation processes in the industry, maintaining the same concentration of feed solution in the bioreactor. This paper describes the development of mathematical model which performs control algorithms for fed-batch cultivation processes of industrial microorganisms cultures. Mathematical models of beer yeast (lot. Saccharomyces cerevisiae) and E. coli bacteria (lot. Escherichia coli) are identified. The calculated theoretical results are compared with experimental data. An experimental study of E. coli bacteria is performed according to a mathematical model-based control algorithm. Model predicted parameters are compared with experimental results. |
