Abstract [eng] |
Today's progress towards sustainable development is a global challenge for modern society and business. Organizations increasingly feel social pressure to integrate sustainable development aspects into their business processes and decision-making strategies. Projects are a tool to achieve this. Interoperability between stakeholders and project management theory is becoming increasingly evident beyond traditional regulatory areas and organizational management: the number of articles of this topic increased by almost 98% during 2007-2016. There is a general perception in scientific publications that there is a close link between project portfolio management and stakeholder theory. It is important to identify how stakeholders can contribute to sustainability and what their management factors are important because it is an additional tool to promote sustainability in the projects. Stakeholders' interests and their proper management can play an important role in an organization seeking sustainable project portfolio management. The purpose of this paper is to identify the success factors of the project portfolio stakeholder’s management and their role in achieving a sustainable project portfolio. To achieve this goal, the following objectives have been set: to justify the problematic area of the role of stakeholder interest in a sustainable project portfolio; to analyze project portfolio stakeholders, their interests and the theoretical aspects of the sustainable project portfolio; to conceptualize the methodology of studying the impact of stakeholders' interests on sustainable project portfolio management; to explore the factors leading to a successful stakeholder management in order to make the project portfolio sustainable. A qualitative study method was chosen in order to reach a small sample of experts. Semi-structured interview with project and project portfolio management experts chose for this study. The result of a study identified the success factors of stakeholder management, which helps to achieve a sustainable project portfolio. |
