Abstract [eng] The Master's Final Degree Project examines the influence of the thermal mass of building on its energy efficiency and microclimate for comparisons of different materiality constructions. In the literature analysis, active and passive methods of thermal mass are discussed, in order to determine which studies, simulations are carried out on this topic. Having created a digital model of an individual dwelling house, check its relevance to the real building and its energy consumption for heating during the cold period of year. For this purpose, will be used climatic conditions of 2018 February in district of Kaunas. The object of the research is a residential house in Kaunas region, the computer modeling program IDA-ICE is used to determine the influence of massivity, which examines the primary model of the building and five alternatives. By comparing the energy consumption for heating / cooling for the cold and hot seasons, it will be possible to determine which construction is most capable of absorbing thermal energy and, at the right time, to give it back in order to use passive thermal mass.
