This chapter examines how international entrepreneurship education can be enhanced within higher education institutions through the intentional integration of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), as framed by the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and 10 (Reduced Inequalities). While traditional entrepreneurial education has focused heavily on innovation, opportunity recognition, and venture creation, it has often overlooked the impact of DEI factors on teamwork, leadership, and entrepreneurial competencies. To address this gap, the chapter emphasises the importance of incorporating DEI into entrepreneurial education. Doing so is crucial not only for building entrepreneurial skills but also for equipping future entrepreneurs and SME managers to create businesses that are inclusive, equitable, and socially responsible. Drawing on a mixed-methods study, it presents new evidence on how DEI-aware approaches directly enhance group dynamics and learner outcomes. It introduces a structured group formation model that incorporates diversity, equality, and entrepreneurial potential to enhance student learning experiences in entrepreneurial team projects. |
