Abstract [eng] Forest fires pose a significant threat to ecosystems and economies worldwide. This study focuses on the application and evaluation of the Forest Lattice-Tree Cellular Automaton (FL-TCA) model for simulating forest fires in the Curonian Spit, Lithuania. Our approach employed specific states representing various phases of fire spread, including virgin vegetation, ignited, burning, cold burned vegetation, and soil, integrating key factors influencing fire behavior, such as vegetation type and density, humidity, wind direction, and altitude. Spatial accuracy was evaluated using overlap ratio metrics, comparing simulated results with actual fire data. Our approach demonstrated a reasonable level of congruence between the simulated and actual burned areas.
