| Abstract [eng] |
This master’s final project examines the influence of the project management maturity level on the success of project implementation in the municipalities of the Klaipėda region. The aim of the study is to investigate how the level of project management maturity affects project implementation success in public sector organizations. The study is based on the analysis of academic literature, international and national legal and strategic documents, as well as an empirical study applying document analysis, a questionnaire survey, and semi-structured interviews. The research results revealed that a higher level of project management maturity is associated with greater project implementation success. It was found that municipalities with a higher level of maturity demonstrate clearer processes, stronger coordination, and more effective resource management, which contribute to more efficient project implementation and the creation of long-term public value. The results of the study may be used in municipal administrations to improve project management systems and strengthen project-based activities in the public sector. |
