Modern district heating systems face the necessity to improve energy efficiency, reduce heat losses, and integrate renewable energy sources. One of the most promising approaches to achieving these goals is the concept of fourth-generation district heating (4GDH), based on low-temperature heat supply regimes. Reducing the temperature level allows for lower heat losses in the network, improved biomass utilization efficiency, and more favorable conditions for the integration of heat pumps and other low-temperature energy sources. For this reason, the analysis and optimization of district heating operating regimes has become an important research direction in the energy sector. |
