Abstract [eng] This master’s thesis examines the motivation of Generation Z employees to work in the public sector. The relevance of the topic is determined by rapid changes in the labor market, generational shifts, and the growing importance of Generation Z, which is characterized by distinct work expectations, values, and motivational factors. The public sector, facing challenges such as an aging workforce, talent shortages, and competition with the private sector, must adapt to the needs of this generation. The research problem is based on the fact that scientific literature has not sufficiently revealed the factors motivating Generation Z employees to choose and remain in the public sector, particularly in the Lithuanian context. The aim of the study is to identify the factors influencing Generation Z employees’ motivation to work in the public sector. The object of the research is the motivation of Generation Z employees.
