Abstract [eng] The design and manufacture of hybrid composites can be applied to these materials for practical use in production in various constructions. For this aim, a metal wire of different thickness, surface treatment and different initial tension is introduced into a composite of glass fiber and epoxy resin, to find the best method of wire surface preparation to get the better mechanical properties of the composite. Material and methods: was chosen a combination of glass fiber and epoxy resin by inserting metal wire AISI 304 to get a hybrid composite. The investigated mechanical properties of composites: glass fiber and resin without wire and hybrid composite with continuous steel wire insert. It was made samples of different modifications and done experimental studies. First, a different wire tension test and its influence on adhesive properties were tested. Secondly investigate different methods of metal surface treatment: 1) chemical surface preparation – concentrated sulfur acid, 2) mechanical treatment - the wire was sanded. Adhesive properties of the wire and the epoxy resin were tested by the pull-out method. Finally, glass fiber reinforced polymer matrix composites made of fiberglass with wire inserts were further manufactured. During the tension test, a hybrid composite with an embedded stainless-steel wire was used to measure the wire resistance change, to monitor when the wire stops. This conductivity measurement can be used for indirect measurement of deformations. The computer modeling program \"LS Dyna\" compiled a calculating model of the glass fiber and epoxy resin hybrid composite and was experimentally tested.
