This final degree examines the methods of 3D printing from metal, describes the mechanical properties of AlSi10Mg aluminium and the impact that 3D printing machines and thermal treatmets have on them. Various cell types and the deformation modes are defined and the octet-truss structure is chosen for detailed analysis. This project contains an experimental study of AlSi10Mg mechancal properties and their dependence from the printing orientation of a part. A multi-linear AlSi10Mg material model is made of material tension data. Further more the octet-truss specimen is tested through a compression experiment and finite 3D solid and beam element models are made. Finally, the experimental and final element analysis results are compared and evaluated. . |
