Abstract [eng] Ammonia is a widely used chemical compound. It‘s possibilities of use apply not only to the chemical industry, but also to the agro – culture industry. Due to the increased demand for ammonia, it seeks to find ways to produce it using lower production costs. The technological research carried out in the master‘s thesis allowed to determine that the refurbished ammonia synthesis technological line, using lower production costs, can produce the same amount of ammonia. Renovated ammonia synthesis technological line located in Jonava district, Jonalaukis village. Area of the area under renovation is 33,48 ara. The equipment necessary for production is located in the territory. The existing ammonia synthesis technological line is being renovated, by acquiring and installing a new second ammonia synthesis reactor. The occupational safety and health analysis has been carried out on the basis of occupational risk assessment, assessment of job hygiene, safety and anti – piracy protection. Explosive and fire hazardous areas have been identifiend as explosive and flammable. Estimating financial and economical calculations provides the price of liquid ammonia. The calculations assessed the net present value of the project, investment efficiency, profitability. After calculating the reconstruction, there are an additional 6,72 mln. profit of Eur in a year. In conclusion, reconstructed ammonia synthesis technology with two synthesis reactors produce higher profits. An environmental assessment of the refurbished technology has identified environmental impacts. The main pollution problems are caused by non – confirming air emissions and the resulting catalyst wastes, which are subsequently disposed of.
