In the current study optimal clinker and liquid medium compositions, synthesis conditions and properties of zinc phosphate cement were determined. Clinker composed of 90 % ZnO, 9 % MgO, 1 % AlF3 had the best properties, when isothermal synthesis conditions were 5 h at 1200 ºC. It was determined that when this clinker was mixed with liquid S3 (H3PO4 (66 %) 85 %, Al(OH)3 10 %, ZnO 5 %) it had the best physical properties, which enabled to use this product in dental application. Futhermore, it was found that physical cement specimens properties was improved when phosphoric acid content in liquid increased from 56 % to 66 %, then compressive strength increased from 49 MPa to 67 MPa and setting time was prolonged from 240 s to 300 s, However, cement specimens solubility in lactic acid/sodium lactate solution also increased. SBET calculation showed that increase of phosphoric acid content in liquid reduced specific surface area of cement particles almost twice. |
