It was found that the adsorption capacity of hydrotalcite strongly depends on the initial concentration of Cu2+, Co2+ ir Cr3+ ions mixture in liquid medium. It was examined that, when the initial concentration of transition metal ions mixture in the aqueous solution was equal to 0.375 and 1.5 g/dm3, almost all Cu2+, Co2+ and Cr3+ ions were intercalated into the crystal structure of hydrotalcite. However, in a solution with a highest initial concentration of heavy metal ions mixture (3 g/dm3), the adsorption capacity of hydrotalcite for mentioned ions decreased. It was found that the stability and adsorption capacity of hydrotalcite also depends on the adsorption temperature. It was found that when the initial concentration of transition metal ions mixture in aqueous solution was equal to 3 g/dm3 and reaction temperature was increased to 45 ºC, hydrotalcite became unstable and after the adsorption process alongside this compound magnesium aluminum nitrate hydroxide hydrate with intercalated Cu2+, Co2+ and Cr3+ ions was formed. |
