Abstract [eng] Pyrrolidinone derivatives are widely studied in pharmaceutical chemistry for their similarities with commonly found compounds in nature. Carbohydrazides are synthesized for their chemical properties and can be used to form azole derivatives, such as thiazoles, triazoles, oxadiazoles, which are known for their biological properties. Moreover, 4-amino-5-thioxo-1,2,4-triazole compounds can be cyclized into [1,2,4]triazolo[3,4-b][1,3,4]thiadiazine derivatives to improve biological activity. 1-(2-methyl-5-nitrophenyl)-5-oxopyrrolidine-3-carbohydrazide was synthesized from 1-(2-methyl-5-nitrophenyl)-5-oxopyrrolidine-3-carboxylic acid and was later transformed into pyrazole and pyrrole derivatives during condensation reactions with diketones. 1-(2-methyl-5-nitrophenyl)-4-(5-thioxo-4,5-dihydro-1H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)pyrrolidin-2-one and 4-(4-amino-5-thioxo-4,5-dihydro-1H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)-1-(2-methyl-5-nitrophenyl)pyrrolidin-2-one compounds were obtained from sodium dithiocarbazate which was treated with hydrochloric acid or hydrazine monohydrate respectively. Later 4-amino-5-thioxo-1,2,4-triazole was cyclized with α-haloketones into [1,2,4]triazolo[3,4-b][1,3,4]thiadiazine derivatives. 1-(2-methyl-5-nitrophenyl)-4-(5-thioxo-4,5-dihydro-1H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)pyrrolidin-2-one was obtained during hydrazide and KSCN reaction. Hydrazide was treated with phenyl isothiocyanate to synthesize 2-[1-(2-methyl-5-nitrophenyl)-5-oxopyrrolidine-3-carbonyl]-N-phenylhydrazinecarbothioamide which was later cyclized into 1,3,4-thiadiazole, 1,2,4-triazole and thiazole derivatives. 1-(2-methyl-5-nitrophenyl)-N'-(4-substituted-thiazol-2-yl)-5-oxopyrrolidine-3-carbohydrazide compounds were obtained during hydrazide reactions with various thiocianate derivatives.
