Abstract [eng] At this work, convenient synthesis method of 3-(1H-benzimidazol-2-yl)-1-[4-(1H-benzimidazol-2-yl)phenyl]pyrrolidin-5-one was developed, by the condensation reaction of dicarboxylic acid and o-phenylenediamine in polyphosphoric acid. Mono- and dihydrazide were synthesized from the 5-pyrrolidinone derivative. The condensation reactions of hydrazides with various carbonyl compounds has been done. Decyclization reactions of 5-pyrrolidinone ring in compound 3a were investigated by its reaction with alkaline reagents. It was assessed, that γ-aminobutanoic acid could cyclizate into 5-pyrrolidinone derivative in the presence of strong mineral acids. 1,3,4-oxadiazole derivative has been obtained upon reacting dihydrazide and carbon disulfide in the presence of certain solvent. The intermediate potassium salt was acidified by adding diluted hydrochloric acid to obtain main product – 1,3,4-oxadiazole derivative.
