In this final master‘s project, the renovation of the long residue vacuum distillation unit was made at the existing oil refinery complex, \"ORLEN Lietuva\", located in Juodeikiai village, Mažeikiai district. In this unit the main column was reconstructed, by new devices installations which increases light oil fractions during atmospheric residue distillation at low pressure. Technological calculations of centrifugal pump, heat exchanger and three-phase separator were made. Vacuum distillation unit was evaluated from an environmental problems point of view. The most environmental impact is due to the release of sulfur, nitro, carbon oxides and volatile organic compounds in the air during combustion. Economic and financial calculations have been carried out to assess the project's investment and the amount of profit received after the modernization. Attention is also paid to occupational safety and health, occupational risk, hygiene, fire safety. The architectural and structural design of the building was reviewed. |
