In this master's degree final project, the reduction of sulfur compounds from petroleum fraction using hydrogen peroxide is being proposed. During the process, the organosulfur compounds are oxidized to their corresponding sulfones and disulfides. In this project the desulphurisation plant is being designed for the existing oil refinery, the technological calculations of heat exchangers, centrifugal pumps, mixing reactors and material balances were created. Special attention was paid to occupational safety, health and hygiene. Also selected personal protective equipment based on the potential physical, chemical and ergonomic factors in the workplace. Furthermore, the paper presents lightning protection zone calculation and visualization, economic and financial viability of an investment project and the choice of material, and structural solutions. The problem of environmental pollution and waste management is considered, a process flow diagram for desulphurisation plant is being proposed. |
