Abstract [eng] |
The theme of this work is the implementation of secondary education goals from the perspective of different educational subjects. It is relevant because the realization of the goals of secondary education reveals itself as the final result of school education. Learners at secondary level should consolidate the knowledge gained at previous levels and, after graduation, be ready for independent life, further higher education, professional education, successful employment and career development. However, there is a lack of a scientific discourse on the attitudes of different educational entities on the implementation of these goals and individual achievement. The master thesis reveals the general context of the 21st century's most important educational goals, based on the examples of the European Union (hereinafter - the EU) and the Republic of Lithuania (hereinafter - LR). Furthermore, the thesis analyzes the expected results of secondary education, which should be based on the achievement of the goals of this level of education. The aim of the final thesis is to reveal the attitudes of different educational stakeholders about the implementation of the secondary education goals. Tasks: to determine the coherence of educational goals of the EU and the Republic of Lithuania; to analyze the expected results of the LR secondary education goals; to reveal the attitudes of different educational stakeholders about the implementation of the secondary education goals at the X and Y schools. A mixed-study found that pupils in X and Y schools evaluate the achievement of individual results on an average basis, from the point of view of teachers, the results are not achievable, while according to the education expert, the aim and the expected results of secondary education are declared only at the theoretical level and there are no favorable conditions and opportunities for their practical implementation in the education system and in separate schools. |
