Abstract [eng] |
Safety of Energetic systems is one of the highest priority tasks in Lithuania right now. Regarding this issue, Lithuania, already built and are running two high voltage direct current links. Our first converter built and fully operational was also our first continental connection to western Europe as well. LitPol link- connection between Lithuania and Poland, was commissioned and put in to operation in 2015. And NordBalt-connection between Lithuania and Sweden, was commissioned and operational shortly next after, in 2016. Currently, Lithuania is connected to post soviet electrical ring called BRELL, and therefore is dependent on it. Synchronization with western Europe grids is planned to be executed on 2025. Theoretically tow high voltage direct current links are sufficient to achieve synchronization, but on this project, I will investigate impact of additional converter link on the ac network, on stability and quality parameters. As well I am going to briefly go through the main types and configurations of HVDC types, cons and negatives. In order to achieve analysis of the impact, I will create a functional model of HVDC link using PSCAD software. After literature analysis has been done, I decided to use integrated VSC type converter model- where both inverter and rectifier must be physically connected to synchronous ac network. After simulation, results show us that, implementation of additional HVDC link could improve the network system transient stability as well other parameters. |
