Recent clinical studies shows that short atrial runs are associated with an increased risk of atrial fibrillation (AF) and ischemic stroke. Early diagnosis of short atrial runs may prevent from the development of severe complications. Short atrial runs can be detected by using wearable monitoring devices with the integrated detection algorithms. In this work, detection algorithm of short atrial runs in photoplethysmogram (PPG) signals is proposed. It is based on a linear discriminant analysis. |
