Abstract [eng] The aim of the project – to develop and investigate an autonomous system for determination of traffic volumes on the gravel roads. The traffic volumes determination counter is based on infrared transmitter and receiver. For reliable operation, infrared rays are transmitted by pulse packets that are formed using two pulse formers. The infrared receiver has a signal detectror that detects passing vehicles in accordance with changes in receiver signals. Radio connection is used for data transmission between two infrared rays systems. Encryption and decryption are used to protect transmitted radio signals. Data from both infrared systems is processed in a microcontroller.
