Abstract [eng] |
Agriculture remains an important area of activity in Lithuania. The ever increasing number of machinery used makes it even more difficult to reflect on the consequences of inefficient energy use. Tractor fuel consumption is directly related to the concentration of emissions of pollutant particles in the environment. For some tillage operations, such as ploughing, it is possible to use up to 40% of all fuel, it is economically useful for the farmer to look at ways to reduce these costs. Reducing fuel consumption in agriculture can therefore contribute to creating a cleaner environment, energy efficiency and financial sustainability. In this work, the fuel consumption of two tractors, “Deutz DX-90” and “CaseIH Puma 130”, were tested. After analyzing the literature, few factors influencing the amount of diesel consumption were chosen: ploughing depth and speed, soil type. |
