Abstract [eng] |
Virtual reality provides an engaging medium that affects our senses, creates a feeling of being in the real environment. It is believed that virtual reality will not only dominate the entertainment industry but will also have wide application in other areas. With this work, two areas of virtual reality application were studied - sports and medicine. Virtual reality applications bring not only the benefits but also the specific problems that need to be addressed to successfully apply it in specific areas. This work is aimed at identifying the problems arising from the application of virtual reality in the field of sports and medicine and proposing solutions to them. In this work, we analyze virtual reality devices and examples of virtual reality in sport and medicine. The Samsung Gear VR platform has been found to meet mobility, performance and quality requirements. The application of virtual reality in the field of sports included the development of a system for the Concept2 rowing machine. Meanwhile, the application of virtual reality in the field of medicine has led to the development of a system for the diagnosis of lumbar disorders. The research part presents the proposed methods for optimizing three-dimensional rendering performance, motion prediction and diagnosis of disorders of the vestibular apparatus. The proposed methods were evaluated by experiments. Proposed solutions were presented at various international conferences and exhibitions. |
