Abstract [eng] |
Master ‘s final work defines model of „Safety network“ which highlights the main urban and architectural factors that have the ultimate influence for safety and criminality of city’s public spaces. There were suggested conceptual solutions for Vilijampolė neighborhood in Kaunas in order to form clear identity of the block and revitalize its public spaces. After concluding theoretical information and literature analysis, there were formed clear definitions of safety and criminality, moreover, connections between them were also established. Therefore, hypothetical model of safety and sense of safety was created by using factors that mostly influence them. After empirical research of site in Vilijampolė, data was collected and analyzed for further usage and practical proof of theoretical hypothetical model in particular neighborhood. The main concept of „Safety network” for experimental project was formed after concluding collected research information. Concept to the neighborhood of Vilijampolė was applied, and it formed clear principles for network of public spaces and safety of them. All these solutions confirm previously formed hypothetical and conceptual models of „Safety network” for public spaces. Conclusions were defined for final master’s work. |
