Big number of research and agreements demonstrate that international trade of textile and apparel is very important to all world economy, for example the Multi Fiber agreement and a long-term agreement on international trade in cotton fabrics. Wide range of research publicized throughout years show that trade liberalization is not only topical to our modern times. The link between trade liberalization and competitiveness in frames of textile and apparel sector has been analyzed by Olayiwola and Rutaihwa (2010), Conway (2009), Spinanger (1991), Conway et al. (2003), Seyoum (2007), Fan et al (2018). Different research demonstrates varying trade liberalization impact between countries in terms the textile and apparel sector competitiveness. Therefore, this research will be investigating the question - how has trade liberalization affected the textile and apparel sector competitiveness in the EU? |
