The main aim of building telecommunication network is connect subscriber and provide him a service. Network itself is worthless if it doesn‘t have subscribers. Wireless access methods are important for those service providers who don’t have their own copper or fiber lines. There are several bands and several technologies designated by European standardization organizations for broadband wireless access. Comparison of coverage in different bands is provided in article taking into account coverage planning peculiarities. Theoretical evaluation of such coverage variables as free space loss, interference noise and rainfall attenuation are provided. Theoretical results are compared to experimental measurements, which were done with real BWA system in outdoor environment. There is small deviation between theoretical and practical result, which doesn’t exceed allowed inaccuracy of measurement and indicates adequacy of prognosis methodology. |
