Abstract [eng] The external walls of the building not only maintain the structure of the building but also plays a very important role in maintaining the heat of the building, as ~ 20 precent total heat is lost through the external walls. Each year, traditional buildings loses ~ 80 kWh / m2 of energy. In order to reduce energy consumption it is necessary to install an appropriate thermo-insulation system. In this work I will evaluate the most commonly used thermo-insulating materials for insulation of exterior walls, i.e. mineral wool, polyurethane, polystyrene foam. In the work, a study was carried out to identify the most effective thermo insulating material for the insulation of exterior walls. The study was conducted using the COPRAS (Method of Multiple Criteria Complex Proportional Assessment). After calculations and evaluations of the results, the most effective insulation material is mineral wool.
