Abstract [eng] |
This topic is relevant because there is no scientific research done so far who explored emotional intelligence and his relationship with the social and economic leader-member exchange. The main research question was the impact of emotional intelligence on leadership-member exchanges and that it has not been empirically explored until now. The aim of the work is to reveal the influence of emotional intelligence on leader-member economic and social exchanges. The aim of the work was to raise four tasks that solved the following structure of work: firstly, we defined the concept of emotional intelligence and how it‘s linked with the leader-member exchange, secound - we analyzed the economic and social aspects of LMX theory and the last- we evaluated the relationship between the employee's and the manager's emotional intelligence with LMX's economic and social exchanges. The analysis of scientific literature in the theoretical part of the work allowed to describe emotional intelligence as an intellectual form and abilities that allow integrating one's and other feelings, thinking and managing emotions. Leader-member exchanges in scientific literature are defined as relationships between a leader and a follower. They are divided into economic and social exchanges. The theoretical analysis of emotional intelligence and LMX allowed to test empiricaly the linkige between leader and member ELMX and SLMX and dimensions of emotional intelligence. The research identified employee and manager emotional intelligence relationships with the social and economic LMX. The results revealed that the manager's emotional intelligence has statistically significant relationship with the economic LMX and the employee's emotional intelligence has a weak statistically significant relationship with the economic LMX. On the other hand, we didin‘t find statistically significant relationship between emotional intelligence and social LMX. |
