Abstract [eng] Collision of workers from different generations is increasingly becoming a relevant theme in today’s work environment. Shah (2011) writes in Forbes magazine that currently three generation groups of workers’ representatives dominate in labour market, while business faces more and more challenges, such as how to adapt to workers from different generations who can be distinguished by different aspirations, view to organization. Therefore, it is significant to maintain commitment of workers from different generations to organizations, to find out what the needs of each generation are and how they tend to commit to an organization. Scientists notice that commitment of workers becomes weaker when comparing different generations, the weaker commitment of workers is considered as a crisis in present day business, according to the author, USA economy looses approximately 30,5 milliard USD in a year due to high staff turnover and it means that worker training, errors directly affect the profit of organizations, and business prosperity directly affects economy of countries. Different characteristics of generation workers manifest themselves by different commitment level. A significant lack of scientific literature, analyzing workers’ commitment, and how it manifests itself are noticeable, thus it is difficult to draw concrete conclusions how organizational commitment manifests itself among workers of different generations.
