Abstract [eng] Leadership has long been a widely studied process. While leadership was initially analysed through lead ers' behaviour towards followers, later the focus has shifted to leaders' communication. It has been ob served that leaders' communication is closely related to the satisfaction of employees in an organisation. Factors such as motivation, skills, role, support, feedback, etc. are crucial parts of an organisation. Such aspects, which increase employee job satisfaction, have a bearing on the communication characteristics of leaders. The foreign academic literature is full of articles on leader communication and employee performance and job satisfaction. Such literature provides information on how employee motivation in an organisation can be linked to leadership and communication. In contrast, the Lithuanian literature is dominated by themes more related to leader behaviour and the relationship with employees, but less attention is paid to leader communication and its implications for employee satisfaction, which is what this project will seek to find out. Thus, the object of the study is the significance of leaders' communi cation styles. The aim of the project is to analyse the communication styles of leaders and their implica tions for employee job satisfaction. The objectives of the project are: to present the meaning of leader ship and leader communication; to analyse the main behavioural and communicative features of leader ship styles; to define the factors that are associated with higher levels of employee satisfaction; to carry out a qualitative and quantitative study of leader communication styles and their implications for em ployee job satisfaction; and to use the findings to analyse the communication styles of leaders and their implications for employee job satisfaction. The methods used in the work are: data collection - analysis of scientific literature, quantitative research - online survey, qualitative research - semi-structured inter views, and data analysis using statistical data processing software and qualitative content analysis. The statistical analysis revealed that the communication styles of organisational leaders are significantly re lated to employee satisfaction in the organisation. For example, authoritarian communication styles are negatively related to employees' organizational support, whereas transformational and democratic com munication styles are positively related to employees' motivation and feedback. The analysis of the in terviews revealed that employees who identify their leaders as more democratic feel more motivated, satisfied with their financial situation, and feel more important to the organisation. In contrast, employees whose leaders tend towards authoritarian or transactional communication do not feel supported or under stood by the leader and are motivated by other aspects of their work rather than the leader.
