Abstract [eng] Nickel oxide (NiO) thin films were deposited onto ITO-coated glass substrates by DC reactive magnetron sputtering using a Ni target in mixture of argon (Ar) and oxygen (O2) atmosphere between 10 % oxygen and 50% oxygen at room temperature. The chamber working pressure was kept at 1.33 Pa and deposition current was 0,55 A during the deposition processes for 30 min. The films were annealed for 60 min between 200 °C and 400 °C in air ambient. The optical, structural and electrochromic properties were investigated by UV-VIS spectrometry, X-ray diffraction measurements of the samples. Effects of the gas mixture, heat treatment on the optical constants and elektrochromic behaviour of the films were analyzed in detail.
