Abstract [eng] |
During this project we explore and get to know one of the most important element of our electrical system – power transformer. How and when to use multiple neutral positions, including isolated and grounded. Yet the main key of this project, is to find out what happens in the neutral (grounded or isolated) when a power line gets strucked by a lighting and when a massive voltage surge appears on the power transformer. Voltage surges can have a huge impact to the power transformer in a bad way. During this project, experiments were necessary in order to seek any answers. For the measurments one phase/widing transformer model was used. A voltage surge was imitated with a voltage generator and with the help of an osciligraf – voltage diagram through out the widing was made. Experiments we caried out on few options: neutral grounded, neutral grounded through a resistor and through a voltage regulator. It is expected to make a more detail look in the inside of neutral and how voltage distributes throughout the widing on multiple neutral positions. |
