Abstract [eng] |
Aim of this project is to analyze the working principles of maximum power point tracking used in photovoltaic systems and to compare two most commonly used tracking algorithm’s operation parameters under determined meteorological conditions. By analyzing general characteristics of solar modules and power inverters, used in photovoltaic systems, the use of maximum power point tracking (MPPT) is justified. The operating principle of methods and their algorithms used for MPPT are analyzed. Based on analyzed literature two most commonly used Incremental Conductance and Perturb and Observe algorithms are chosen for further investigation. The investigation is concluded by using basic MATLAB „Simulink“ model of photovoltaic system with MPPT connected to the power grid. Both algorithm’s operating parameters are examined by determined investigation stages and weather conditions. By comparing the results, obtained during the investigation, the conditions under which MPPT algorithm is more effective are determined. |
