Abstract [eng] In recent manufacturing industry, there was complication in rectifying surface roughness and surface finish of machined workpiece. The investigation mainly focusses on present research on influence of machining parameters and how the milling directions influencing surface roughness in different direction while cutting the material in two axes of rotation and to investigate the surface roughness of Aluminum 6082-T6 in conventional and climb milling operation and the calculated parameters are analyzed in graph. In this investigation, the theoretical surface roughness is calculated by using recommended formula in literature review. The theoretical and experimental surface roughness values are compared and new surface roughness calculation formula for “Guhring “type end mills was proposed. Another investigation carried to predicted surface roughness by using regression analysis. The predicted surface roughness and experimental surface roughness values are compared in graph. The result shows, the regression variable have influence in predicting surface roughness.  .
