Abstract [eng] |
In today's business environment organizations focus on the quality of work and results, react to dynamic changes, and the managers of successful organizations form their mission and vision, manage human resources to reach organizational goals. It requires leaders’ exclusive skills and traits, which some scientists have identified as inherent, others – as acquired, but based on the theory of management styles, managers’ personality traits / dimensions are one of the factors determining the appropriate management style choice. Although in Lithuania there is no lack of conceptual and empirical researches on management styles theme and in the last decade much attention to the study of personality traits was paid, must be acknowledged, that there is a lack of studies focusing on the interconnection of managers’ personality traits and management styles. Such studies would help to examine the interconnection of those two components and the model of managers’ personality traits and management styles correlation would be useful in determining the criteria for the selection of managers. This master’s thesis is for examination of the mentioned problem. |
