Across the world, in small settlements and large cities alike, there is an increase of decentralized power plants of relatively small power. Those may me gas turbines, wind and solar power plants, or generators which use different resources altogether. The increasing number of distributed generators helps to secure the reliability of electricity supply, diminishes the losses and cost of power transmission and is able to be used for power system frequency control. |
