Abstract [eng] |
In the final master's project it is researched how the radio signal transmitted through the optical fiber quality is changing. OFDM technology 4QAM and 16QAM modulations were investigated. Researched how signal transmission quality is influenced by fiber length, modulation type, bit rate and the subcarrier number. Fiber distance studied ranges from 0 to 200km. Selected three different subcarrier levels: 128, 256 and 512 subcarrier. Bit rate used in 5 different speeds: 1Gbit/s, 5Gbit/s, 10Gbit/s, 40 Gbit/s and 20Gbit/s. To evaluate work results these measures were used: quantity of false symbols, quality factor and false bit vector size measurements. Results are displayed in graphs and constellations visualizations to compare how the transmission quality depends on different bit rate, on different modulations and fiber length at 10km, 50km, 100km, 150km and 200km. At the end of the project the findings of the investigation are provided. |
