Abstract [eng] Packaging is an integral part for many products. Growing consumer demand and the desire to preserve the quality of various products led to development of multifunctional food packaging. In many cases packaging functionality increases with the increase of variety materials used for the composition. Aluminium, various plastics, paper and cardboard are among the most common materials used in the composite packaging. Although composite packaging allows to ensure the appropriate protection for products from a variety of external factors, it is hard to ensure the recycling of this type packaging waste, and for this reason it is often the case of combined packaging to be disposed in landfills or incinerated. Recovery of aluminium in composite packaging waste can be fast and efficient by applying wet process separation. Subject to the same conditions - temperature 60 oC, 300 rpm. mixing velocity and 1 g / 200 ml of the sample - reagent ratio separation using benzene, ethanol and water mixed reagent occurs within approximately 8 minutes, and the acid reagent - in 30 min. As environmental impact comparative analysis showed the least preferred method is the one when benzene, ethanol and water mixed reagent is used as a separation reagent, although the quantity of recovered products is higher and the separation time is shorter.
