Abstract [eng] The active polymeric packaging materials were obtained by forming volatile biactive components (eugenol or thyme essential oil) containing coatings of the oriented polypropylene films. The antoxidant efficiency of 35 – 42% was characteristic of polymeric packaging films with 5 – 6 g/m2 of coating containing thyme essential oil, respectively, after 12 months of storage. Meanwhile, polymeric packaging films with 5 g/m2 of coating with eugenol demonstrated antioxidant efficiency of 87% after the same period of storage. The antioxidant efficiency of the polymeric packaging films did not changed much during one-year period and films with eugenol coating showed stronger antioxidant properties. The manufacturing company of active polymeric packaging films with the optimal output of 760 tonnes or 40 million square meters per year was designed. The amount of raw materials needed for the production was calcaluted. Designed production line is going to work under principal of flexo printing. The production line equipment of active properties packaging films was chosen and calculated (homogenizator, reactor, flexo printing machines and cutting devise). A technological scheme of active polymeric packaging films production was drawn and described. A production workshop scheme was drawn, and a cross-section plan and plan of the area were presented. The engineering system solutions were described. Employee safety, health at work, fire-security and occupational risk factors were also evaluated. Also, financial and economic calculations were made (costs of the product, evaluation of investments efficiency, project’s financial and economic indicators and investment return). The amount of dangerous waste generated during production and its utilization question were evaluated as well. The point of highest pollution was found.
