Abstract [eng] |
In this paper the works of other authors are reviewed about inertia of the power grid and the problems caused by the lack of it, also about wind power plants and their supplementary controllers for the extraction of synthetic inertia and also about the impact of synthetic inertia on the frequency of an electric power system. In the second section of this work the model of an electric power system and its elements is described and their schemes are presented which are needed for the study to be done. The scheme for the control of a rotor side converter of a wind power plant with wound rotor induction generator along with the schemes of the supplementary synthetic inertia controllers are also presented along with the formulas that describe the control. In the third section results are presented on frequency characteristics depending on the number of synchronous generators connected to the power system, the impact of synthetic inertia and droop controllers on the frequency characteristics are compared and also their effects depending on their proportional coefficients is presented. Finally the study is completed with conclusions. |
