Abstract [eng] |
This paper reviews the types of switching power converters, their advantages and disadvantages. Some researches were made with developed power supplies and other manufacturers created samples. Researches were done with high frequency boost converters. This type of converter was selected because usually it is working with higher frequency than other converters. This allows for a better assessment of high frequency influence for power supply and its parameters also to determine issues arising from the development of switching power supply. The high frequency switching power supplies feature small size and low weight due to the use of smaller components. When operating frequency is increased required amount of energy stored in components decreases, so smaller coil and smaller capacitors can be used. |
