Abstract [eng] |
This project analyzes the energy potential of household waste. All waste has some form of energy. Thermal or electrical energy, this type of energy can be obtained by burning. The energy from burning waste can be used for the city's population. As consumption rises and increasing amounts of households waste automatically appears a problem for their further processing. According to the waste management priorities landfilling is the least desirable. Therefore, all the waste that is not sorted and recycled must be burned in order to preserve the land and produce additional energy. The project has set itself a number of objectives: overview of waste management methods and principles, carry Kaunas region municipal waste statistical analysis, analyze the composition of municipal waste, and calculate their calorific capacity, calculated waste energy potential and possible annual energy produced in quantities if they are burned in plants. In order to carry out the work objective set was searched for specific data on household waste quantities Kaunas region. In view of the separate types of waste and by the percentage composition was calculated the total calorific value of the waste utility and elemental composition (the calculations are carried out before and after the MBT). Also calculated an annual potential of municipal waste, slag and ash emissions. Also made economic calculation. This work is important because today's municipal waste is a big problem. Kaunas region generated more than 200 000 tonnes of household waste. Nothing without it all go into landfills. Necessary to analyze the options available to run them through sorting, recycling, incineration, that they are managed as efficiently as possible. |
