Abstract [eng] 2015 - 2019 EU countries are obliged to reduce their use of plastic bags, because they pollute the environment and damaging ecosystems. Fashion is dictated different rules. We are entering into disposable garments and accessories epoch. As an alternative to the quick fashion, spreads slow fashion ideas, which having to change consumer habits. Slow fashion highlights not quantity, but quality principles. Products distinguished by uniqueness, originality, emphasizes personal style, lifestyle and creativity. The purpose of this – create innovative, attractive design, the multi-function bags-tote bags collection. The starting point for – an acute environmental problem: excessive use of plastic bags. The aim is to modernize tote bags, taking into account the needs of consumers. Competitive product will reduce plastic bag purchase. The paper analyzes the supply of tote bags, discussed the role of shopping bags in ecological context, purified primary product idea. The quantitative study investigated consumer attitudes textile and plastic bags against, purified primary product idea. Projected product – bag with integrated tote bag. Material for bag – leather, for integrated bag – knitted ecological material. The reason why it was selected for the knitted fabric – property to stretch, because integrated bag should be roomy, but maintaining a low volume when not in use. One of the most important features of the shopping bags is the capacity and strength. For this reason, useing uniaxial tensile method evaluated knitted organic materials and seams tensile properties. Research objects – three different fibre composition of the knitted fabric. In order to fully investigate the consumer properties of materials, carried out materials exploitation imitating cyclic tensile test. Based on the results of studies creating a competitive bag-tote bag collection.
