The purpose of this research paper is to analyze the base component of semantic network - ontology and its description, as well as present ontology description verification rules based on the ontology creation process. This research is based on the analysis of existing systems and best known practices. The analytical part of this research distinguishes the basic ontology forming elements and their corresponding descriptions. Using the general description of ontology rules this paper introduces a generated ontology verification tool prototype whose aim is to identify the ontology elements that do not correspond to the before mentioned rules. The purpose of this verification tool is to help ontology modeling experts identify infringements that arise when ontologies are created. |
