with the rapid development of residential areas in kaunas, the demand of pre-school education services is greater than the possibilities of educational institutions. in the future, in order to meet the need of pre-schools in kaunas district neighborhoods, it is necessary to provide opportunities to develop pre-school education institutions . this issue analyzes the current situation of pre-school education institutions in kaunas district. it also introduces the requirements, legislation for pre-school in lithuania. the research of the respondents' opinion about the current situation the lack of places for kindergartens, the growth factors is done and analysed and the measures are taken to reduce the shortage of educational institutions by kaunas district municipality. after the analysis of the survey there are identified three neighborhoods, where the greatest demand of pre-school institutions is.they are ringaudai, garliava and užliedžiai. according to the current situation and the data of the survey, evaluating criteria system is made. on the basis of the evaluation criterias and gis technology application, the exact analysis of the neighborhoods and selected locations for new pre-school education institutions in kaunas district is done. |
